The Macallan distillery bourbon cask

This rare Macallan was distilled in 1991 and bottled over 30 years later in 2021 at cask strenght with natural colour and no chill filtration as a single cask whisky. A golden hue, reminiscent of the golden promise barley used to create this indicative of a bourbon cask. The nose give off notes of apple crumble and custard with hints of elegant smoke. The palate has hints of resinous wood married beautifully with the effects of heavily charred oak. The resulting spirit truly embodies a double helix of oak and fire.
